All Ballet Bears classes are run by Emma. Emma started dancing at the age of two and attended many dance classes each week. As a child she took part in many shows, competitions and events and danced at different places throughout the country. Once she became older, Emma started to teach at her local dance school and, at the age of twenty one, passed her dance teacher exams to become a fully qualified NCDTA dance teacher.
Emma also attended Sunderland University where she qualified as a primary school teacher. During her studies Emma specialised in early year's education and researched how children develop and learn in the first five years of life. While completing her studies Emma noticed how beneficial ballet and dance would be to young children and their development.
After completing her studies and graduating with a 2:1 honours degree, Emma decided to follow her love of dance and set up Ballet Bears Dance Academy where she could offer young children the opportunity to experience the benefits and joys of music and dance.
Emma is fully CRB checked.
